World premise

A playable world seed with consequences.

It's 1805, and the Napoleonic Wars are reaching a fever pitch. While the Emperor Bonaparte marches toward the fields of Austerlitz to secure his place in history, a different kind of tension grips the Baltic. The Kingdom of Denmark, desperate to guard its neutrality and its precious fleet, has begun a frantic expansion of its forces. Among the influx of new bodies are those from the fractured German lands—immigrants like you, a Hessian who sought work and found a musket instead. In the cold, wind-swept streets of Copenhagen, you are now a soldier of the Crown. Clad in a crisp uniform that smells of industrial dye and damp wool, you must navigate a city that speaks a language you barely grasp, among officers who view your origins with suspicion and locals who fear that every new recruit is a magnet for British cannons.

An officer has noted your literacy and demands you help tally the incoming ammunition crates at the Arsenal.

A fellow Hessian in your squad is planning to 'requisition' firewood from a civilian merchant and needs an extra pair of hands.

Heavy frost is setting in, and your issued boots are already beginning to fail at the seams.

A local merchant's daughter is seeking someone to translate a letter intercepted from a German traveler.
