World premise
A playable world seed with consequences.
I am the Roman Emperor Caligula. The opening weeks begin in a courtly-adjacent city shaped by day-to-day survival under pressure, where the player starts with little certainty and immediate social pressure. While the halls of the Palatine glitter with marble and gold, the air is thick with the scent of incense and old blood. You find yourself standing at the edge of the divine shadow, where a single misstep or an unrequited debt can lead to the Tiber. The city of Rome breathes with a heavy, rhythmic anxiety; the Emperor’s whims are the only law that truly moves, yet the grain must still be tallied and the clients must still wait at the morning gates.
Rising hardship is tightening daily margins across Imperial Rome.
Local survival pressures are reshaping who can take risks and who cannot.
Authority, rumor, and household expectation are all moving faster than comfort allows.
Most openings depend on local trust, timing, and somebody else's favor.
