World premise

A playable world seed with consequences.

Italy, 1500. You are Ezio Auditore, a young Florentine noble whose father and brothers were executed for treason by the city's authorities—a false charge orchestrated by the Templars. With your mother Maria and sister Claudia still alive, and an uncle who died protecting the family's honor, you have joined the Assassin Brotherhood. The Templars, a secret order of powerful men, seek to bring order through control and coercion. The Assassins fight for freedom, and as an initiate, you carry the hidden blade, a slender steel weapon strapped to your inner wrist, ready to strike silently in defense of liberty. In the streets of Florence, every shadow is a shield, every rumor is a thread to pull, and every betrayal is an opportunity for justice.

The Templars have put a price on your head—and they are likely to use your mother and sister to lure you out.

Your father left a cryptic note hidden in the house before he died; it may point to an ally inside the Medici palace.

Claudia is eager to join the fight and is pressing you to let her speak with the merchants. Her sharp tongue could be a weapon—or a liability.

A reported sighting of your brother Federico's signet ring in the possession of a beggar on the Ponte Vecchio may be a trap, or a lost clue.
