Biopunk World, 2026

Urban pressure, Intrigue focus

In a world without machines, life itself is the only technology. Humanity sculpted creatures into cities, weapons, and vehicles, and reshaped their own bodies through grafts, parasites, and engineered flesh. Penataka Hive is a living metropolis of bone spires and breathing walls, where information flows through cephalopod screens and armed wasps patrol the sky. Survival depends on reading the air's pheromones, unraveling secrets, and knowing which faction truly owns the truth. The Hive Council, the Cartel of Sap-Sellers, and the root households all vie for control, while outsiders and dissenters maneuver in the cracks. You begin in the underbelly, where every interaction is a negotiation, every promise carries a hidden cost, and the sharpest weapon is a secret well told. Welcome to a world where intrigue is the only currency that never rots.

World premise

A playable world seed with consequences.

The air in Penataka Hive tastes of stale sap, fear, and a thousand pheromone promises. It is a living city of bone spires and breathing walls, where the great tree-bulk of the upper districts presses down on the crowded lower quarter called Lumma Underbelly. Here, survival is a blood sport: grafts fail, debts grow mold in the dark, and the Hive Council's edicts drift down like spores, catching some and sparing others. You wake each morning to the hum of chitin and the distant buzz of armed wasps, knowing that today the city will want something from you—your labor, your loyalty, or your body itself. But even in the damp shadow of the great trees, there are seams to slip through, rumors to trade, and favors that might bloom into something more. The question is whether you can read the air before it reads you.

Rising hardship is tightening daily margins across Penataka Hive.

Local trade pressures are reshaping who can take risks and who cannot.

Authority, rumor, and household expectation are all moving faster than comfort allows.

Most openings depend on local trust, timing, and somebody else's favor.
