World premise

A playable world seed with consequences.

By March of 2028, the heartbeat of the capital has flatlined. The 'Initial Turn' has transformed London into a dense, fog-choked slaughterhouse where the dead wander the asphalt and the living huddle in tenements behind bricked-up windows. With the government in collapse and the military in retreat, the social contract has been replaced by the weight of a heavy lead pipe and the value of a single tin of calories. In the London Scourge Zone, the thin veneer of urban civility has peeled away to reveal a brutal state of nature where your neighbor is either a competitor for scrap or a potential carrier of the end. Every alley is a gamble, and every sunset brings the terror of what scratches at the door.

Rising hardship is tightening daily margins, and the St. Giles Irregulars are looking for 'expendable' labor to scout a suspected medicine cache.

Local survival pressures are forcing a choice: join a protection racket or risk the 'dark' zones alone for salvage.

Authority and household expectation are moving faster than comfort allows as food stores in the Tenement Fortress run dry.

Most openings depend on local trust, timing, and somebody else's favor—specifically the gatekeepers of the Iron Gate Market.

More worlds to play

Natchez-on-the-Hill, 1845

The 1840s Mississippi frontier is a land of extreme contrasts. Below the bluffs of wealthy Natchez lies the 'Under-the-Hill' district, a volatile urban maze of gambling dens, cotton warehouses, and transient river workers. Survival depends on navigating the ruthless maritime trade and the looming threats of yellow fever and seasonal floods.

Pataliputra 550 AD, 550

The Gupta Empire is fracturing. In the ancient metropolis of Pataliputra, the golden age has curdled into urban decay. Huna invasions to the northwest have choked trade routes, and the Ganges floodwaters bring as much fever as they do fertility. You are a small soul in a terminal city, navigating the friction between crumbling imperial prestige and the harsh reality of a tightening economy.

Moscow, 1991

Moscow, capital of the Soviet Union, two months before its collapse. Ministries still issue orders. Factories still operate. Police still patrol. Yet supply chains fail, authority fractures, and survival depends on access, trust, and timing inside a system that is ending.

The Ash-Cradle 2270 CE, 2270

The Ash-Cradle (2270 CE): New Canada & The Northern Wastes. Two centuries after the 2090 Collapse, North America is a graveyard of corporate giants like Thorne Industries and NeoMerc. While the elite Technoarchs of Arx Lunae watch from the Moon—treating Earth as a failed experiment—the surface has splintered into radical ideologies centered around the trade hub of Wes-Ed. Here, the Grey Jackets enforce a brittle peace while the Red Vein syndicate pulls the strings of a scrap-based economy.

Victorian London, 1885

Victorian London, 1885. You begin as a butler in a noble's London estate, but you may have secret and useful heritage - an inheritance, a noble title, or more. Three factions vie for power: the Royalists who seek to strengthen the Queen's authority, the Aristocracy who want to preserve their own dominance, and the Merchants who rival the aristocracy in wealth and seek political influence. The focus is on research and courtly politics. Who will you turn out to be, and who will you become?

The Bewitched Hamlet of, 1348

Oakhaven is a gilded cage where 14th-century survival is sabotaged by a Witch’s fetishistic whims. She maintains total rule by magically rewriting the bodies and minds of the populace into short, ditzy, and weak 'pet' versions of themselves. Farmers become udder-burdened 'cow-girls,' warriors become helpless 'dolls,' and the town’s infrastructure collapses as the inhabitants lose the strength and wit to maintain it. Newcomers are trapped instantly, destined to become the next themed experiment in the Witch’s living dollhouse.
