World premise

A playable world seed with consequences.

Warsaw, March 21st, 1936. The bugle calls from the garrison cut through the morning fog of the Saxon Garden, a sound I've learned to live with. I'm just a soldier, no family to write to, no leave to look forward to—just the routine and the hope of a quiet existence. But the city around me is tightening like a fist. The markets are tense, the prices are lying, and every unit is being pushed to prepare for a war that feels closer every day. I've got my private, my uniform, and a few zlotys in my pocket. That's all I have, and I intend to keep it that way.

The garrison is tightening discipline as war talk grows louder.

The city's markets grow more volatile, and your pay buys less each week.

Local households are both wary of and dependent on soldiers for income and security.

A quiet exit from the regiment is hard, but separation from it is harder.

Saxon Garden

A central square and park near the garrison, where orders, gossip, and rumors converge. Soldiers and civilians mix here, keeping a wary eye on each other and on the notices posted near the commandant's office.

The iron-and-glass market halls where traders, farmers, and black-market dealers meet. Prices fluctuate with the garrison's needs, and a soldier in uniform can get a deal or a shakedown, depending on the stall.

Parish Hall

The church's gathering room, a place of charity, gossip, and quiet mediation under strain. Priests and lay volunteers distribute soup and advice, while the faithful pray for peace and soldiers pray for safe postings.
