World premise
A playable world seed with consequences.
You stand in the courtyard of the Tower of David, the royal fortress in Jerusalem, listening to the noise of masons repairing the wall. It is March 1180, and the Kingdom of Jerusalem holds its breath. Your king, Baldwin IV, is a leper, but still a sharp strategist; his sister Sibylla's marriage negotiations have just broken down, and the Templars and the merchants in Acre are at each other's throats. Your French cousins have sent word that your marriage prospects are better in Champagne, and that you would be welcome to take service there. But you've sworn to defend this land, and the oath weighs on you as you look westward toward the towers of the Holy Sepulchre.
Rising military tension is tightening the kingdom's fallback reserves.
Court rivalries are reshaping who can be trusted and who is dangerous.
Authority, rumor, and household expectation are all moving faster than comfort allows.
Most opportunities depend on local trust, timing, and somebody else's favor.
