The Demon Slayer Universe, 1820

Hidden Blades, Urban Pressure

You are Andy, a fresh Mizunoto recruit in the Demon Slayer Corps during the late Edo period. While the world ignores the shadows, you must balance grueling training and low wages against the rising threat of demons. Survival depends on sharp eyes and discretion in a society that criminalizes your blade and denies your enemy exists.

World premise

A playable world seed with consequences.

The mountain air is thin, and your purse is even thinner. As Andy, a new recruit of the Mizunoto rank, the grand tales of the Hashira feel a world away from the ache in your lungs and the empty pit in your stomach. You have reached the outskirts of the Sagiri Foothills, where the shadow of the peaks looms over the Oiwake Post-Station. Here, you are just another nameless face in a dusty haori, ignored by the town magistrate but watched by eyes that do not blink in the dark. Your Nichirin blade is wrapped in coarse burlap and hidden beneath a bundle of charcoal—a heavy, forbidden secret in a town where carrying a sword without a lord's crest is a shortcut to a damp cell. The sun is dipping below the cedar line, and as the first lanterns flicker to life, you realize that in this dense urban quarter, the social pressure of the morning is the only thing more dangerous than the predators of the night.

Rising hardship is tightening daily margins across the Corps, making simple equipment maintenance a financial burden.

Local trade pressures are reshaping who can take risks, as merchants prioritize protection for high-value silk over common safety.

Authority, rumor, and household expectation are all moving faster than comfort allows, with the magistrate looking for a scapegoat for recent disappearances.

Most openings depend on local trust, timing, and finding a civilian cover that doesn't conflict with your hidden duty.

More worlds to play

Pataliputra 550 AD, 550

The Gupta Empire is fracturing. In the ancient metropolis of Pataliputra, the golden age has curdled into urban decay. Huna invasions to the northwest have choked trade routes, and the Ganges floodwaters bring as much fever as they do fertility. You are a small soul in a terminal city, navigating the friction between crumbling imperial prestige and the harsh reality of a tightening economy.

The North Philadelphia, 2005

Spring 2005 in North Philly finds a neighborhood trapped in the 'War on Drugs' era. As school budgets are slashed and the police employ aggressive zero-tolerance tactics, the open-air markets of the Badlands offer the only path to mobility. The protagonist, a student at Stovall Secondary, must navigate the crumbling infrastructure of the city and the absolute laws of the street where institutional failure is the only thing guaranteed.

The Tangle of Chionthar, 1492

In the dense, magical periphery of the Wood of Sharp Teeth near Baldur's Gate, the reach of the Flaming Fist is thin. Settlers and outcasts struggle against encroaching fey-corrupted flora and the economic squeeze of city-state tariffs while surviving on the edge of the Coast Way.

New World

A grounded scenario built for local survival, social pressure, and small but consequential decisions.

A magical alternate Earth, 1337

In a 1337 where humanity is but one of many sapient lineages—alongside the matriarchal Elephant-kin, the seafaring Dolphin-tribes, and the nomadic Corvid-clans—the world is defined by high-medieval survival. Lethal Aether-storms sweep the Ravaged Frontier, birthing warped monsters and shifting the landscape. Magic is rare and dangerous, seen as a burden of the 'Touch-gifted' who must guide their kin through a wilderness that is as sentient as it is hostile.

Trench Crusade's, 1914

In a 1914 where the Great War is a sanctified trench crusade, you begin as an ordinary citizen in a crumbling urban tenement. From the smoke-clogged European capitals, you can rise from a simple laborer or farmer to become an inventor of war-engines or a titan of industry. Amidst the clatter of armored trains and the chanting of militarized monks, your ability to build factories, supply the front, or take up the sword allows you to seize the gears of fate and dramatically redirect the course of the 20th century.
