World premise
A playable world seed with consequences.
Premise: August 1914. The Great War has just begun. The Russian Empire is mobilizing, German armies are advancing, and the lands of partitioned Poland are caught between three empires. In this alternate timeline, a de facto independent Polish state has emerged in the chaos — the Regency Kingdom of Poland — proclaimed by the Central Powers but not yet recognized internationally. Its authority extends only as far as the bayonets of the German and Austro-Hungarian occupying forces allow. The world is a pressure cooker of hope, opportunism, and terror. In the streets of Warsaw, the old order is crumbling. The Russian administration has fled, and German patrols now guard the bridges and the Citadel. The new Polish government is a fragile thing, staffed by men who must answer to their occupiers while dreaming of nationhood. Every day brings new rumors: of legions forming in the south, of Russian counterattacks, of food shortages and forced labor. For ordinary people, the war is not a distant headline but a daily negotiation with hunger, fear, and the need to keep moving. You are one of them — a worker, a trader, a household member, an outsider — trying to find your footing in a city that is both a capital and a battlefield.
Rising hardship is tightening daily margins across Warsaw.
Local politics pressures are reshaping who can take risks and who cannot.
Authority, rumor, and household expectation are all moving faster than comfort allows.
Most openings depend on local trust, timing, and somebody else's favor.
